NASCAR’s Pennsylvania 400 Offers an Entire Weekend of Family Fun

On Sunday, July 30, 2017, NASCAR’s Pennsylvania 400 will be taking place at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, PA for the 43rd time since 1974. In its storied history, the race has seen many of NASCAR’s most legendary drivers claim victory, including Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, Dale Earnhardt, and Jimmie Johnson.
Pennsylvania 400 weekend has become a family tradition for race fans across Pennsylvania and beyond. The 400-mile, 160-lap race is the main event of an entire weekend of family-friendly festivities planned at the track.

Pennsylvania 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race
The weekend will kick off with the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Fan Fest, running from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 28th at the raceway’s infield. The event will feature activities and entertainment for fans of all ages.

The Fan Fest is free for all who have purchased Friday tickets and Sunday Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series tickets for Sunday’s Pennsylvania 400. Those who have purchased tickets to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Pocono Mountains 150 can enter for just $10 a carload. The event is open to the public and admission is just $20 per vehicle. Please be sure to have your tickets with you to access the Fan Fest at no charge.
There will be nine drivers participating in Fan Fest. So far, Daniel Suarez, Michael McDowell, Kyle Larson, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Landon Cassill, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. have been announced.
Fan Fest might be your best opportunity to bid Dale Earnhardt Jr. farewell. The fan favorite, who won the Pennsylvania 400 and Pocono 400 in 2014, announced he would be retiring after the 2017 season. For many of Pennsylvania’s race fans, the Pennsylvania 400 will be their last time seeing him behind the wheel.
